This means minimizing money spent on shipping and customer service, traditionally the two largest costs for software companies. It is easy to see how our onLine status helps with the former, but what about the latter? At ProTaxPro we wish to provide optimal customer service. And we believe that great customer service demands low prices. This is why telephone support is not a standard option for our products. In order to keep the overall price of ProTaxPro software at its lowest for EROs, we do charge a telephone support fee per incident during tax season if you are filing as an individual. The philosophy of ProTaxPro is to provide an inexpensive yet powerful and comprehensive tax preparation solution for the tax professional. We have created a classified mode of email correspondence between our staff and customers (available after logging in), and we have designed our products to have built-in help. Our year round email support is designed to provide rapid answers to unexpected or unique situations, as well as updates for a specific return. This system automatically informs the taxpayer of the disposition of his or her return based on information provided by the IRS acknowledgment files, as well as answers to some frequently asked questions. If the return is rejected, instructions are included as to what needs to be done to cure the reject. If the return is accepted, the 8453-OL requirement is explained, if applicable. Further, our proprietary Automated eMail Response System enables our computers to "read" and provide answers to eMails you have submitted. This level of Automated Customer Service is provided at no charge for all users.
Because we communicate with you via eMail, you must provide an accurate and valid eMail address to us. This eMail address will in turn be provided to the government. Please make certain that your eMail service will receive eMails from our domain, ProTaxPro.com. This may include making adjustments to your eMail system, such as might pertain to filters, blocks, spam detectors, etc. It is your responsibility to allow this communication. All of the communication we send will be text-based. If you receive any communication bearing an address including our domain, and also containing an attachment, DO NOT open such an attachment.We are “platform independent”, which means that virtually any computer with connectivity to the Internet can use our system. In our growth and design, we are cognizant of the needs of all users. Thus our pages are virtually all html text based and can easily be translated and/or read for the purposes of individuals with special or specific needs. All of our development, processes and facilities are maintained within the United States and no taxpayer data is shared with any other country.
Concurrent with the technical superiority of ProTaxPro.com, we are very concerned and vigilant in protecting the privacy of taxpayer data, be this financial or demographic in nature. Both the physical and electronic security is continuously enforced. We adhere to the IRC 7216 regarding sale of fee-based products and services not related to tax preparation. At this time, no such products will be included if only the free return is completed and eFiled. We are a certified participant of the BBBOnLine® Privacy Program and our site is secured by a VeriSign® SSL certificate.
